Certification and ID has been one of the hottest topics around. Lots of contriversy over the two. Mostly over certification. While these are hot subjects many many many businesses are taking advantage of people with disabilities whom chooses to have a service animal.

Send $$$$$$$$$ in and we will send you a certification paper that states your dog is trained as a service dog.

So what is a Certification paper in the first place?

It's only a diploma of the fact this particular animal graduated. Graduated from what? From formal tasks training! Did these companies train the animal! NO! Did they evaluate the animal! NO! Did they even bother reading the Federal Law's under Certification and or ID? NO! Or maybe so and are hoping that people with disabilities would not be aware of such ADA Law (including ADAA 2008), in which it's a violation of the law to demand such papers (ie Certification and ID) to gain access.

Yet these companies are willing to take advantage over people with disabilities by asking you to send lots of money for this certification paper. And Why! Like all scam artist to take your Money!! That's the bottom line. They are hitting on people that has Autism Service dogs and other types of Psychiatric Service Dogs now.

Please do not be stoop into purchasing a certification paper. There is not government organization that could do such a thing. Don't help the scam artists add to the misconceptions and misinformation about certification papers. Even the updated DOJ question and answers for businesses clearly states one cannot ask for these things.

First off we all need to remember that service animals are not the ones with legal rights so having these papers on a service animal doesn't mean a thing. It's people with disability that has the right to be accompanied with an individually trained service animal. And some states will allow service dogs in training too. That's just an added bonus.

I have seen many forums in which a person wanting their dog to be certified as a service dog. Some from what I gather are thinking if their dog has certification then that means their dog is a service dog.

Many on the other hand and it does seem like it's teams with psychiatric dogs thinking that they need this certification so they would have same rights as a guide dog team.

These scam artists are taking advantage of the harassing access issues that people have with their service dogs. Some people even think if they have these papers all will be good but not always. Then what would happen to the next team that may have forgotten such papers? Because they do not have these papers they cannot come in with their service dog that is a medical aid for them!
