A campaign may have been launched Tuesday to encourage Prince George businesses to increase employment of persons with disabilities by 10 per cent by 2010, but Lorna Dittmar prefers to think of it as an opportunity to capitalize on an untapped source of talent.
"It's good business," the long-time advocate said following a chamber of commerce luncheon where the start of the campaign was announced. "What's happening nowadays, with people retiring, the labour pool is shrinking, so you may have to look outside your comfort zone.
"And you might be missing the best person for the job if you don't consider someone with a disability."
